Kathleen Ayers is a Court-Appointed Marriage Commissioner serving the Commonwealth of Virginia. As the owner of one of the most successful wedding venues in Virginia, Chestnut Hill Bed & Breakfast, she has officiated, witnessed and hosted hundreds of marriage ceremonies and receptions since 2003 and is truly passionate about the many wedding-related services she provides.
Kathleen has earned a reputation in the wedding industry for combining professionalism, warmth, and lightheartedness. It’s all about balance and she feels it is important that her clients enjoy their marriage ceremony by providing a unique approach to creating customized ceremonies and exceptional customer service. Her experience encompasses every aspect of the wedding industry providing her with the ability to convey confidence and poise.
Kathleen was a Paralegal in Washington, D.C. for 20 years and has served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Orange County Chamber of Commerce and holds several professional licenses to include her Realtor’s License in the State of Florida and is a Notary Public in Virginia.
On a personal note, she has been happily married to her husband, Troy, since 2001 and enjoys running their bed & breakfast wedding venue, Chestnut Hill, together. They are both committed to providing award-winning hospitality services to both their B&B guests and wedding parties.

Gordon “Bud” Jeansonne was commissioned by the Circuit Court of Orange County in 2008 and has celebrated over three hundred weddings through the State. He has also served as a Magistrate for the 16th Judicial District. He was formerly a healthcare administrator serving in that capacity in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and assisted living centers over a thirty five year career. He also was a healthcare consultant throughout the U.S. Bud performs both traditional and non-traditional ceremonies and will tailor your wedding to meet your individual needs to ensure that your wedding is a memorable event.
Don has lived his entire life in Orange County. He attended college in Richmond at the Richmond Professional Institute now known as VCU and studied Commercial Art. He then joined the Orange County Rescue Squad and retired in 1991. He purchased the Orange Paint Center and ran it for fifteen years. In addition, Don was a Magistrate for the Commonwealth of Virginia from 1974 until 1995 and became a Marriage Commissioner in 1982. He has been performing wedding ceremonies for over 34 years. On a personal note, Don married his wife Lil in 1965 and has been happily married ever since with two children and three grandchildren.
